The licensee is aware that Barbara Roth is the author/creator and owner of the cartoon and the right of reproduction, distribution, display and all other rights, including the copyright. By downloading the cartoon, the licensee acquires a limited licence with usage restrictions. The licensee agrees to the following usage restrictions and is granted the usage rights as described below:

Usage Restrictions

1. The licence is non-exclusive. The author/creator Barbara Roth may use the cartoon herself and sell it elsewhere.
2. The licensee may not use, (re-)produce, distribute the cartoon for any purpose beyond the permitted purpose.
3. The licensee may not sell the cartoon, parts of the cartoon or objects designed with the cartoon or parts of the cartoon to third parties except in connection with the permitted purpose.
4. The licensee may vectorize the cartoon or convert it into different graphic file formats for printing reasons. Changes and interventions beyond this are generally not permitted.
5. The licensee agrees to attach the copyright notice ©cartoonsbyroth to all publications of the cartoon.

Usage Rights

I. Private use

Worldwide use, unlimited in time, for non-commercial purposes (e.g. as decoration at home, in the social media, as present)

II. For companies, organisations, entrepreneurs

Commercial use: worldwide, unlimited in time, for internal communication and marketing such as presentations, handouts; on company websites; on the intranet; in social media; in printed form (e.g. brochures, leaflets, mailings, flyers).

Limited purpose of use: the physical reproduction of the cartoon is limited to a maximum size of A5 (half size), the digital reproduction to computer screen size. For folders, flyers, mailings, etc. up to a total print run of a maximum of 50,000 copies.

III. For publishers and self-published authors

Limited purpose of use: single use (books: one ISBN number), physical reproduction up to A5 (half size), only in the inside section of the newspaper, magazine, book or e-book

For use beyond these restrictions, e.g. in higher editions, multiple ISBN numbers, as cover image, in larger formats, higher editions or for any other purpose, please contact the author for an individual usage rights agreement.

This agreement is governed by Austrian law. By downloading the cartoon, the licensee agrees to Vienna as the location of jurisdiction for any dispute.
